Beltane – The Fire Festival of Passion and Growth

Date: Traditionally celebrated from sunset on April 30 to sunset on May 1 (Northern Hemisphere).

In the southern hemisphere this is celebrated October 31 to November 1. Some neo-pagan traditions also observe it over November 1 to 2, or at the astronomical midpoint when the sun is at 15 degrees Taurus – usually around November 5 to 6.

Meaning: Fertility, passion, abundance, vitality, union, and the full flowering of life.

Beltane is one of the most joyful and vibrant Sabbats in the Wiccan Wheel of the Year. It marks the transition from spring into early summer, when the Earth is bursting with life.
